Bawaajigan-Dreaming interactive workshop

Sunday, January 19th

11:00am

About

This is an interactive workshop FOR INDIGENOUS PEOPLE ONLY. What kind of festival do you want? What do you imagine for the future of Indigenous theatre in Manitoba? This is a festival for all of us and so we want to know what you are looking for, dreaming of, and visioning for a sustainable future for Inuit, Metis, and First Nations theatre.

Part of this workshop will be a virtual conversation with Indigenous Artistic Directors and Festival Producers from across Turtle Island. The conversation may spark ideas and there is more time to talk and imagine the future.

Morning and noon snacks and beverages will be available throughout this event.

Echo Theatre has created and performed on this land that is the traditional lands and waterways of the Anishinaabeg, Nehethowak, Anishininew, Ininew, Nehiyaw, Denesuline, and Dakota Oyate and the Homeland of the Red River Metis. We take care in remembering the gift and responsibility it is to create and tell stories here.
